OnRobot make it easy to deploy collaborative automation on tasks such as packaging, quality control, materials handling, machine tending, assembly, and surface finishing, regardless of skill levels or previous robotics experiences.
One of OnRobot’s flagship products is the RG2 gripper, a flexible, two-finger gripper that can handle objects of varying sizes and shapes. The gripper can be programmed to apply different levels of force, making it suitable for handling delicate objects as well as heavier items.
OnRobot has also developed a range of sensors and vision systems that can be integrated with cobots to enhance their capabilities. For example, the company’s force-torque sensor can enable cobots to perform force-sensitive tasks, such as inserting components into tight spaces or applying consistent pressure when sanding or polishing.
Collaborative automation has levelled the playing field for small and mid-sized manufactures. As robots become easier to buy and implement, the tooling has become the vital element in adapting a wide range of gripper requirements. These include include electric, vacuum, and magnetic grippers, force/ torque sensors, a 2.5D vision system, screwdriving and sanding kits. Palletizing solution and tool changers are also available.
