Universal Robots and Cobots.ie to begin a Nationwide Workshop Tour #RoadShow

Universal Robots, the worldwide leading provider of collaborative robots (cobots) by units sold, along with Cobots.ie has announced that it will be taking its cobots on the road during its Irish UR+ Workshop Tour 2019. Visitors will get hands-on experience of the collaborative robots and hear directly from industry experts about how manufacturers of all sizes can best optimise production efficiency through cobots and automation.

The UR+ Workshop Tour is kicking off on the 27th March in Sligo, and will travel throughout the country all the way into the Autumn.  Pick-it3D and On Robot will also be joining us. At each event, individuals will be given the opportunity to speak with leading industry experts about robotics and automation. As well as this, attendees will be able to program the flexible and user-friendly cobots themselves and experience their ease-of-use first hand.

Samantha Cummins-Byrne, Irish Sales Development Manager at Universal Robots said, “We are very excited to be bringing our cobots and UR+ partners to the people of the Ireland this year. The tour will be very interactive and participants will be able to simply walk up to one of the collaborative robots on display, grab a touchscreen and within two minutes they will master their first robot move.” “Our aim is to demonstrate that automation really is for everyone, including local small and medium sized business, not just large corporations with expert robotic engineers,” said Cummins-Byrne. “Those who attend the tour will experience how user-friendly automation can simply slot into existing operations and can really be handled by existing employees with minimal training.”

Cobots.ie will be the host at 4 of the events throughout the year – Sligo and Dublin in March and Kerry and Cork in October.
