We love to visit our customers on site to provide training. This week, we were happy to complete our Cobot Safety Workshop at the Cork branch of the corporate giant, Dell.
Dell use our Cobots (Universal Robots E-Series) to automate a number of their processes and from time to time, as per EU regulations and ISO guidelines, safety training is required.
We were hosted on the day by Dell’s Cobot Safety Team: Mark Dullea, John Carmody and Marie O’Callaghan – and what a worthwhile day it was.
Our Training workshops are very hands on, working along with the trainees to ensure they receive the best industry expertise on Cobot Safety.
A note about the Safety of Universal Robots: As the global leading manufacturer of collaborative robots, Universal Robots has spent a significant amount of time ensuring that its robots are not just meeting compliance standards, but that they are taking safety to the next level in the same way Universal Robots’ technology helps advance productivity and process innovation for companies across the globe. In fact, due to the advanced safety functions embedded within Universal Robots’ patented safety system, robots can be operated cage-free in the vast majority of the thousands of applications now installed worldwide. The force limiting safety system causes the UR cobots to automatically stop operating if they encounter obstacles in their route.
Our Safety worskhops are bespoke and tailored to meet our individual clients needs and requests, which are subject to risk assessment audits etc.
Thanks to Dell for looking after us so well on the day – it was informative and productive, enabling the team to attain Dell’s high health and safety standards!
