John Caulfield, engineer and cobot programmer at demonstrated how easily Cobots can be used in automated tasks to the event organisers and speakers: James Symington, Vice President Sales at Westbourne I.T. Global Services,
Ann Fennelly, Supervisor Manufacturing Engineering of Stryker Neurovascular and Grainne Bagnall, Tech Talk Committee, it@cork.

As the theme of the March Tech Talk was “Grand Challenges for LifeScience and Healthcare”: exploring opportunities for the IT industry”’s strategic place at the Event was important as they championed machine learning and improving processes for the health sector.

Supported by Stryker and Westbourne Global IT Solutions, this it@cork session brought together speakers from all aspects of the healthcare sector to discuss and explore current and future opportunities. Good Health is precious in the way we maintain and manage health today and is changing rapidly. A major driver of this changing landscape is consumerisation and digitisation of healthcare – Patient empowerment, data ownership and sharing, AI, genetics, machine learning, improved processes, sensors and connected health are rapidly changing how we develop healthcare solutions and the way we deliver them. IT plays a critical role in driving this change.
